Bottomline Technologies is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst who will be part of the Finance team and reports into the Director of Analytics and Intelligence. The successful candidate will work to ensure that the Finance department has the tools, models, data sources, and technical knowledge required to generate value added insights for senior leadership and enable success for the business.

This person should enjoy managing high volumes of commercial, financial, and operational data and be comfortable providing forecasts, analysis, and solutions. They will have the opportunity to directly influence senior management, and their conclusions will have a wide-ranging impact on the commercial decisions of our business. They will also have opportunity to work closely with other Product development teams for knowledge share and collaboration.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Build a state-of-the-art Finance function


• Support Leadership team on data led insights, build reporting and analytical capabilities for the entire finance organization


• Create reporting and visualisations (Action-oriented dashboards) from data in the Enterprise Data Warehouse


• Build, improve & maintain data eco-systems & data workflows to accurately report for various business stakeholders


• Analyze operational and financial performance trends, turning complex data into actionable insights and accurately forecast


• Continually optimize reports, processes, and procedures with scalability in mind


• Real-time anomaly detection for timely resolution


• Collaborate with Data Strategy and Intelligence team on changes to/integration of new sources of data


• Empower end users to be self-reliant by facilitating knowledge sharing and enable skill development through effective training programs


• Be a thought leader around new technologies which may benefit the Commercial Finance team


• Work on analytics proof of concepts to demonstrate the "art of the possible" and raise data literacy across the organisation


• Streaming imports of data using subscriptions and API frameworks


• Design and development of front-end UI tools to configure pipelines and forecast


• Build strong connections across engineering and finance teams and become a trusted and proactive partner in supporting project delivery

Required Skills/Experience:

• Master's degree in IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics


• 7+ years of experience with BI & analytics tools and databases (SQL, Tableau, Metabase or similar technologies)


• Experience in ETL tools, data modelling and have proficient knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases: the ability to write, execute and interpret queries is essential


• Expert at Power BI
  


• Programming knowledge in Java, Scala and/or python
  


• Experience in using Salesforce,Snowflake, Azure, Dayforce, Ceredian, Refpro, Marketo
  


• Understanding of Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning
  


• Advanced Excel modelling (OLAP cubes & VBA a bonus)
