Job Description

You should possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with enthusiasm. It is crucial to interact with clients to understand their requirements. With 4 to 8 years of total IT experience, a minimum of 3 years experience in Power BI is required.
In terms of technical skills, you must understand business requirements in the MSBI context. Designing data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights is essential. You should be familiar with star and snowflake schemas in DWH and DWH concepts. Additionally, having experience and knowledge in T-SQL and SSIS (ETL) is necessary.

Creating Dashboards & Visual Interactive Reports using Power BI and having extensive experience in both Power BI Service & Power BI On-Premise environment are key requirements. Developing relationships between data sources and data models, implementing Tabular model implementation, and optimizing DAX queries are vital aspects of this role.
Experience in Power Automate Flow, performance tuning, and optimization of Power BI reports are also expected. An understanding of Data warehouse concepts and knowledge of Microsoft Azure analytics is a plus.
It would be beneficial to have Azure BI skills (ADF, ADB, Synapse), good UI/UX experience/knowledge, and knowledge in Tabular Models. Knowing about Paginated Reports and having a problem-solving mindset are valuable assets.

Moreover, staying up to date with the best practices and advancements in Power BI is essential. With 6 to 10 years of total IT experience and a minimum of 3 years experience in Power BI, you should have a strong SQL skills and SQL Performance tuning expertise.
Providing recommendations on Data Modeling and Database Design, as well as implementing data models, ETL packages, OLAP cubes, and Reports is part of the job scope. Expertise in static & dynamic Row level security, integrating Power BI reports in external web applications, and setting up data gateways & data preparation are required skills.
Your role will involve creating relationships between data sources, using various DAX functions, and understanding star and snowflake schemas in DWH. Knowledge in Tabular Models and creating TSQL objects, scripts, views, and stored procedures are also expected from you.,
